Hospice hat-trick in NCPC’s inaugural palliative care awards

Mar 24, 2016

Several hospices are among the winners of the inaugural palliative and end of life care awards organised by the National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC).

The awards were held this week at the NCPC’s two day conference 'An Ambitious New World: building the future for palliative and end of life care'.

Commenting on the awards, Dr Ros Taylor MBE, clinical director at Hospice UK, said:

“It is wonderful to see so many hospices recognised in these awards for the wide range of innovative services they provide, both as winners and all those short-listed.

“Collaboration and creativity were notable features of these awards, reflected in the dynamic partnerships between hospices and other care providers. These partnerships are delivering impressive results on many aspects of end of life care, including better co-ordination of services and expanding bereavement support.  This is all testament to the dynamism and high quality care thriving in the hospice sector.”
