AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary
Hospice UK worked in partnership with AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary from February 2012 to December 2014 and together raised over £145,000 for hospice care.
How the partnership worked
Each of the 13 AXA offices across the country were matched with their local hospice so that their employees were able to support hospice care in the communities in which they live and work.
What we achieved
AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary employees participated in a wide range of activities to fundraise for hospice care, including:
- twenty-four hour snooker marathons
- onesie days
- raffles and auctions
- treks, cycles and skydives.
AXA employees were also hands on with supporting their local hospice through volunteering days.
AXA Accelerate Challenge
Fundraising is a key aspect of the AXA Accelerate management development programme as it helps participants to build valuable transferable skills. Each year a new set of participants attend a series of workshops which are designed to build on AXA’s key values and this included a Hospice UK masterclass.
Supported by the corporate partnerships team, the participants went on to achieve fantastic success in their activities. The fundraising was not only an exciting challenge, but also helped to raise the participants profiles across AXA, and build their confidence in managing projects. Over just three years the Accelerate programme raised more than £64,000 for Hospice UK.
