Dr Matthew Allsop is a Research Fellow in Applied Health in the Academic Unit of Palliative Care at the University of Leeds.

His research focuses on the design, use and evaluation of technology in palliative care services in the UK and sub-Saharan Africa. Recent projects include developing an electronic system for monitoring and assessing pain in community-based patients with advanced cancer, regional evaluation of electronic palliative care co-ordination systems (EPaCCS), and using routinely collected data to identify factors that influence the duration of palliative care from referral to death in UK hospices.
