Lucy works as a GP principal and trainer in Dudley, West Midlands and started work in the hospice sector in 2001.

She became Medical Director of Mary Stevens Hospice, Stourbridge in 2006 and has led the clinical team there which consists of GPs who run the service both in and out of hours.

A Macmillan GP Facilitator in Dudley since 2012, Lucy has also taken on Clinical Lead roles for the CCG in Cancer and End of Life Care; she chairs the national pilot of Macmillan Specialist Care at Home in Dudley and delivers a Local Improvement Service, both of which have contributed to reduced deaths in hospital and more non-cancer patients receiving specialist palliative care.
