Hospice UK National Conference
We are excited to be returning to Glasgow for the National Conference 2024. It will be held on 26 – 28 November.
This year's theme is: Hospice Care for all, for now, forever.
Hospice Care for all, for now, forever
The theme of our National Conference this year is guided by our new five-year strategy which will be published in May.
Following on from Hospice UK’s extensive consultation with the palliative and end of life care sector, three key themes emerged on the challenges facing our members and the sector. Our conference programme will explore these three priorities:
- Improving equity of access
- Enhancing quality care
- Achieving sustainability.
We want those attending to leave feeling well placed to help meet the challenging context faced by the UK in the coming years.
Topics will include
- the challenges of treating an ageing population
- reaching those we know are missing out on quality end of life care
- understanding the potential implications around legislation on assisted dying
- ensuring a sustainable funding stream
- gathering and using high quality data.

Each year people from across the hospice, palliative and end of life care sector showcase their work at Hospice UK’s National Conference through the Call for Papers. Successful submissions are included in the conference as part of the poster display or as an oral presentation.
