Sarah Mollart

Sarah has been a Consultant in Palliative Medicine since 2013, working at St Nicholas Hospice Care and West Suffolk Hospital NHSFT.

In 2015, she developed a special interest in promoting the option of cornea donation among patients, families and healthcare professionals, and has led a project to do this in both hospice and hospital. In 2017, the hospice team received a Highly Commended at the BMJ Healthcare Awards for this work, and are leading practice for hospices and palliative care teams throughout the UK. 

Sarah’s vision is that the palliative care world will be the solution to the UK’s donated cornea shortage. She would be delighted to be contacted at sarahmollart@nhs.net if anyone would like her help to do this.
