Alison is running the London Marathon 2017 in memory of her mum

Alison Bell is running the London Marathon for the second time in 2017. Her mum was looked after by the team at Ellenor Hospice, and Alison ran for the hospice last year.

This time around, she's running not just for Ellenor, but to support the hospice movement across the UK so that more people can access the end of life care provided for her mother, and the counselling that was offered to her a few months afterwards.

"The hospice has supported me since my mother passed away. They offered me counselling... I had 8 sessions with their bereavement counsellor and the nice part about that is that I got to back into the hospice and have look around, as well as having someone to talk to."
