We are the national charity for hospice care, supporting over 200 hospices in the UK. We believe that everyone matters throughout their life right up until they die, and that no one should die in avoidable pain or suffering.

Collectively hospices in the UK provide vital care to 200,000 people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses every year, as well as providing support for many of their loved ones. We work closely with them to support their vital work and to create a stronger voice for hospice care.

Our impact 2015-2016

Our aim is to make sure that every child and adult with a life-limiting or terminal condition gets the very best care, no matter who they are, where they are or why they are ill, and we believe hospices are critical to achieving this.

In 2015-2016 we led, supported and empowered hospices to take the five steps identified in the final report from The Commission into the Future of Hospice Care.
