BSS GroupHospice UK worked in partnership with BSS Industrial from March 2012 to October 2014. In that time employees raised a staggering £117,000 for hospice care.

How the partnership worked

All 65 BSS branches were twinned with a hospice in its local community, allowing employees to make a difference to hospice care where they live and work.

What we achieved

A broad range of fundraising events took place over the two years, from dress down days and raffles, to treks and boating regattas. Some of our highlights:

  • The BSS 2013 marathon team raised an incredible £9,000.
  • Chief Executive Officer Frank Elkins was joined by six fellow cyclists to take on the 260 mile challenge, cycling from Brussels to Frankfurt, raising over £7,900 for Hospice UK.
  • Colleagues from the BSS Central Region showed real team work by climbing Mount Snowdon, raising more than £1,600.
  • BSS employees also organised fantastic branch fundraising activities such as cake sales, superhero dress up days and collection tins.
