Carillion is one of the UK's leading integrated support services companies, employing  over 19,000 staff (in the UK), who work across more than 1,200 locations nationwide.

In November 2015 Hospice UK won an employee vote to become Carillion’s next charity partner for 2016 and 2017.

How the partnership works:

Our partnership has national reach with a significant local impact; staff are able to support Hospice UK’s national work, as well as 170 hospices in the areas where they live and work, by fundraising, volunteering and skill sharing.

What we want to achieve:

Over the next two years, Carillion employees across the UK will aim to raise over £200,000 to support hospice care.

To kick start our partnership in style, employees and hospices across the country got involved in a national Go Yellow day to raise money and awareness for hospice care.

As part of our partnership launch, Carillion also donated £20,000 to Hospice UK. The money was used to fund our Influencing Locally toolkit, which will help hospices to identify and build relationships locally, as well as raise awareness and influence key statutory bodies and decision makers in their community to make sure hospice care is on their agenda. This is essential for service delivery and funding.

What Carillion have to say about our partnership:

"Hospices across the UK provide a vital service to their local communities and have touched the lives of many people at Carillion whose family members, friends and colleagues have needed their care and support. Carillion has a long history of working with charities and I'm sure that this will be a really successful partnership which will help hospices to continue to provide their essential care."
