Dr Nathan Davies is Senior Research Fellow at University College London and an Alzheimer’s Society Junior Fellow.

He was awarded the RCGP Yvonne Carter Award for Outstanding New Researcher in 2017 and the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Research Leaders Award for outstanding contribution to dementia research in 2019.

Nathan has an interest in improving the support that family carers receive when caring for someone with dementia, particularly at the end of life.

Nathan’s previous work has involved developing a decision tool for practitioners making end of life decisions and a support website for family carers. His current work involves family carer decision making, hydration and nutrition, and comfort/discomfort on acute hospital wards at the end of life.
