Dr Ros Taylor

Ros has a long career as a palliative physician working originally in the community, then many years as CEO of the Hospice of St Francis and most recently in the busy palliative care team at the Royal Marsden and Royal Brompton Hospitals in London.

She has also had a role as Clinical Director  at Hospice UK and learnt a huge amount about challenges facing hospice and palliative care teams in the UK. She is involved in many diverse projects, and has recently become a trustee of Nightingale Hammerson care home in south London and is a Commissioner on the new Lancet Commission on the Value of Death.

She has a key interest in developing more thoughtful medicine, doing more good and less harm towards the end of life and saving the NHS from huge wastage!
