Lucy is a 24-year-old young person with a progressive, life-limiting condition and has benefitted from palliative care for over seven years.

Lucy is a passionate advocate and patient leader working both within the UK and globally, on various topics including palliative care (all ages), personalised care, patient involvement, disability and sexuality.

She holds numerous roles within organisations, co-leads research, undertakes paid consultancy and speaking, as well as setting up the international palliative care patient and carer network Palliative Care Voices and is currently setting up a charity for young adults with complex health needs.

Lucy received her MBE in 2016 for services to young people with disabilities.
