Niamh Brophy

Niamh Brophy is the Palliative Care Coordinator for St Mungo’s homeless charity.

Niamh supports residents who are vulnerably housed or in temporary accommodation and who have advanced ill health. She works to ensure they receive care that best meets their medical, nursing, psychological, social and spiritual needs so they can approach the end of their life with dignity and respect.

Niamh also develops and delivers training to frontline staff, health and social care professionals to raise awareness of the unique challenges faced by this client group. She works with services to develop strategies and local solutions to address the needs of clients, frontline staff and services struggling with issues relating to advanced ill health and end of life care for people experiencing homelessness.  

Niamh also works as an integrative therapist with a special interest in trauma, and its impact on recovery and wellbeing. Before joining St Mungo’s Niamh worked at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney.
