Our educational programmes and learning events include:

Keep up to date

Register for our 'Courses, conferences and learning events' bulletin.

If you have any suggestions for training events or would like to discuss any aspects of our work, please contact us.

Our annual conference offers valuable learning and networking opportunities, and is attended by hundreds of people from a range of disciplines across the hospice sector every year.

We also run a retail conference every year to support our members with their income generation activities, and facilitate the annual conference run by the Executive Clinical Leads in Hospice and Palliative Care (ECLiHP).

Education and research

The Commission into the Future of Hospice Care published a wealth of reports and working papers, two of which focus on research and education:

  • ‘The future of hospice education and training’, produced with the National Association of Palliative Care Educators, explores how hospices can preserve and improve upon their vital role as educators to the end of life care sector, in a future which looks markedly different.
  • ‘Research in palliative care: can hospices afford not be involved’ explores the importance of hospices engaging and becoming active in research, evidence and data to prove the outcome of their work. It provides some recommendations for how the sector can improve in this regard.

Supporting hospices to deliver education and training

As well as delivering our own programme of education and training, we also support our members with their programmes. As part of this work, we have funded a pilot to set up a Hospice Consortium for Education and Training.
