Sally Garbett

Sally Garbett is the Vocational Programmes Manager at St Christopher's and manages the vocational training and City and Guilds centre which recently celebrated its 1000th learner.

Sally leads the National Hospice Education Collaborative (NHEC) in collaboration with Hospice UK. The NHEC has over 300 members from more than 150 hospices and the focus to date has been to support hospices with Vocational education and in particular the Apprenticeship and Nurse reforms. 

Sally has been involved in the development of the Apprenticeships for Health, including the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship.  She works with a number of national organisations to ensure that hospices have a voice and are able to influence national developments in end of life care and related challenges. These include Skills for Health, Health Education England, City and Guilds and Pearson Education. 

Prior to working for St Christopher’s Sally worked for St Giles Hospice and has 20 years  experience as  a freelance consultant specialising in vocational education, qualification development, regulatory activities and Apprenticeships.
