Hospice UK Retail Awards 2016 winners

Most Inventive Hospice Retail Initiative Award

Jospice won the ‘Most Inventive Hospice Retail Initiative Award’ for launching an innovative partnership with The Appliance Shop, which saw it sharing its window frontage and some of its trading space with the local, independent white goods supplier. Read our full press release.

Retail Staff Member of the Year Award

Sue Bekhet, from Nottinghamshire Hospice was awarded ‘Retail Staff member of the year’. As area retail manager, Sue has grown Nottinghamshire Hospice's retail operation to a £1.4m concern with 12 shops, diversified their offer with a retro and vintage shop, wedding shop and pop-up shops in universities and church meetings. Most Inventive Hospice Retail Initiative Award

Springhill Hospice in Rochdale scooped ‘Most Inventive Hospice Retail Initiative Award’ at the Hospice UK Retail Conference for transforming a previously empty local pub into a thriving tea room and gift shop. Read our full press release.

Retail Staff Member of the Year Award

Diane Sedgley, from St Giles Hospice won the ‘Retail Staff member of the year Award’. Diane, a retail manager at St Giles Hospice, has been named Hospice Retail Staff Member for her impressive dedication to generating funds for hospice care for local people and their families since joining in 2012.
