A “how to” day for those planning Dying Matters events in 2019. A series of practical sessions and workshops, with speakers drawn from previous successful Dying Matters events and festivals.
You will get to take part in series of Dying Matters activities and learn how to incorporate these in your own Dying Matters events.
Dying Matters is the biggest campaign in the UK that encourages people to talk about dying, death and bereavement. It gets you to think about these topics and to put plans in place: your will, funeral plans, future care and organ donation. Death affects us all, and we can only help each other if we are comfortable talking about it.
Each year hundreds of volunteer-led events take place during the Dying Matters Awareness Week (13 - 19 May 2019), reaching hundreds of thousands of members of the public.
Presentations from the day will be uploaded to the Dying Matters website shortly after the event.
Aims of the conference
By the end of the conference you will
- Have lots of practical ideas for successful Dying Matters
- Understand the theme of “Are We Ready?” better, and be able to use that in their planning
- Have made contacts with other Dying Matters members to continue working together where possible
To find out more download the draft programme and the workshop information. Don't forget to choose your workshops at conference when booking.
