The Coronavirus pandemic has tested the physical, psychological and emotional limits of hospice staff.

Despite this, they've continued to provide front line care and essential services in challenging times with resilience and compassion, despite the many pressures not only within the work environment but for individuals and their families too

How should we now use our experiences and reflections from these challenging times? Can they shape our relationships at work and our wellness strategies now and in the future?

How should we now use our experiences and reflections from these challenging times? Can they shape our relationships at work and our wellness strategies now and in the future?

This one-day virtual conference, with Hospice UK, the Executive Clinical Leaders Group (ECLiHP) and Strategic HR and Workforce Leads Group (ShaWL), is being held to support our members.

Our focus is on building our resilience and wellbeing, in anticipation of the challenges faced across the sector as we move towards a “new normal”.

We aim to support leaders to promote compassionate leadership, a healthy workplace culture and joy at work.

What are the aims of the event?

The aim of the event is to use experiences and reflections from these times to:

  • Share best practice from within and outside of the sector
  • Help with designing a wellness strategy
  • Focus on restoration and recovery
  • Consider the “new normal”.

By the end of the conference you will

  • gain practical tools and knowledge
  • Hear from speakers; share their experiences of managing Covid 19 over the last year to support our thinking as we move forward together.
  • Have an opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and sharing examples of good practice.
