Hospice UK's Major Grants Committee

Towards the end of 2019, four members of the Major Grants Committee are stepping down, having come to the end of their terms of office. In preparation for this, we are now recruiting replacement members.

We are interested in recruiting the following individuals in the following roles from member hospices:

  • Chief Executive
  • Trustee
  • Income Generation Director
  • Director of Nursing

About the committee

The Committee meets to allocate grants from a range of programmes, including St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, Masonic Charitable Foundation, Rank Foundation and the CSIS Charity Fund. Meetings are held approximately three times a year at various locations; travel costs are reimbursed.

In addition to attending meetings, you will need to commit time to read through papers and assess applications. Strong analytical and assessment skills are necessary. The next meeting is scheduled for the summer 2019.

Appointment to the Committee is for four years, with the option to renew for a further four years subject to agreement from both parties.

How to apply

If you are interested in applying, please submit a brief CV and covering letter outlining what skills you would bring to the Committee. The selection process may involve a brief interview.
