We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Living Well Services Team for 18 hours per week, days of week are flexible – hours to be completed over 3 days is preferred.

We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness.

The work we do makes a real difference to the lives of local people and we support over 330 patients at any one time between our In Patient Unit and Community teams.

Being an Occupational Therapist at St Wilfrid’s

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be facilitating high quality, individualised care for patients with complex palliative care needs.

Championing rehabilitative palliative care, you’ll be working across the Hospice as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be aiming to achieve the best possible level of function and quality of life for patients, irrespective of diagnosis or disease trajectory. This will include working with our In Patient Unit, Community Team and Living Well Services.

Using your excellent problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, you will be providing specialist knowledge and assessment, underpinned by evidence-based practice.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a good level of knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and palliative/end of life care.

This role requires a full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for own use.

Qualifications and Experience

Level 5 Diploma/ Level 6 Degree in Occupational Therapy

Current Membership with the Health Care Professionals Council

Post-graduate experience

Member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists
Right to Work in the UK
