2027 TCS London Marathon

If you’d like to join our team for the 2027 TCS London Marathon, simply apply today using our online application form, making sure you select the ‘charity place’ option.

If your application is successful, we’ll ask you to pay a non-refundable £100 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of £2,200 (excluding Gift Aid).

Tips for applying

We’d love to hear what’s inspired you to take on the London Marathon with Hospice UK. To give yourself the best chance of securing a place, please include as much detail as possible about your motivation, as well as your plans for training and fundraising.

We’ll begin reviewing applications from May 2027. We receive a high number of applications each year, so while we’re not able to offer places to everyone, we take the time to carefully consider each one. Thoughtful, detailed applications really help you stand out.

• Free sports massage, massive support from cheer points, and much more VIP treatment on the day - including four cheer points, a team photographer, and a hot meal at the Hospice UK post-race celebration.
• Support from registration to race day - regular team newsletters, a fundraising pack full of ideas, fundraising materials to help with your activities and ongoing support from our Hospice UK Events Team.
• Everything you need to get race ready - including an online community with your 150+ teammates, competition in our Strava Club, a personalised Hospice UK running vest, and a stand at the London Marathon Running Show.

You can be part of the world's best marathon and raise money to fight to protect hospice care for all, for now and forever. 

Join more than 50,000 runners passing some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including the Cutty Sark, London Eye, Canary Wharf and the Tower of London.

If you are one of lucky ones to secure your own place through the official London Marathon Ballot, or if you have a Good For Age place, we would love for you to join our team as an own place runner and raise money for hospice care.

Simply complete our online application form, making sure to select the ‘own place’ option. You'll receive all the same support as a charity place runner, however you will have no minimum fundraising target. We just ask you to raise what you can.
