Statement from Hospice UK regarding unfounded claims made on social media about a Hospice UK employee

We are aware that posts made by one of our employees on a personal social media account, whilst the person was on annual leave, have attracted a number of negative online claims over the past few days.

This account and its activity are not connected in any way to the person’s role at Hospice UK. 

We expect the highest standards of behaviour from our staff and have investigated this matter. We are satisfied that these claims are unfounded and that there has been no breach of any of our staff policies. 

We welcome feedback about Hospice UK’s work or staff, which can be made in writing or via the ‘contact us’ mechanism available on our website. However, we cannot respond to complaints made about individual members of staff via social media channels.
