Hospice UK offers the opportunity to work in an organisation with national impact.
Located in the heart of vibrant Kings Cross we have around 65 employees. We are not a hospice but an organisation that supports hospice and palliative care across the country. We work with over 200 member hospices nationwide as well as a wide range of palliative care organisations and statutory bodies.
As a dynamic and fast moving organisation our work covers:
- Policy and advocacy
- Communications and campaigns
- Income generation
- Hospice support and development
- Operations and clinical leadership
Our people work flexibly and collaboratively to deliver our outcomes. Having staff understand their individual contribution and impact is important to us. We are pleased that 92% of our staff are clear on how their impact and role contributes to Hospice UK’s wider strategy.
Our values are at the heart of everything we do. They guide the way we work with each other, reflect the culture we aspire to and underpin who we are.
Our values are embedded throughout the organisation from recruitment to our performance management cycle. Everyone attends a two day training session on the values and they are central to our regular 1-2-1s, staff forum, staff survey and appraisal process. We are proud that 94% of our staff say they are clear on the values and how to apply them in their role.
