Salary: £47,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Hybrid. Our Hybrid Working Arrangement gives you more choice about how, when and where you work best. Contractually based at our offices in London, we “Work Smarter to Live Better”. This means a mixture of working from the office or remotely in a way that balances the needs of Hospice UK, your team and yourself.

Benefits include: Up to 7% pension contribution, membership to the Simplyhealth cash plan, Life assurance, 25 days holiday in the first year increasing with length of service to 30 days

This role will play a key part in ensuring we continue to explore and maximise the opportunities of working in partnership with the corporate sector, to raise awareness of hospice care and raise funds for our vital work in supporting and championing hospice care across the UK.

Currently, the Corporate Development Team is responsible for raising £1.5 million a year. We have developed an enviable portfolio of corporate supporters in recent years, with a strong record in winning and managing Charity of the Year campaigns (most notably Deutsche Bank), developing sponsorship opportunities and raising the awareness of the hospice movement through national initiatives.

 

About the role

The role leads on our biggest new business opportunities, supported by a Senior New Business Executive. With a strong focus on securing new Charity of the Year partnerships, shaping the future of our cause-related marketing and exploring how we can build relationships with partners that have a synergy with hospice care.

In addition, the post holder will help promote cross-team activity such as our Compassionate Employers programme, as well as signing up corporate partners to support special events, campaigns and other Hospice UK initiatives.

We are proud of our partnerships and will always go the extra mile to ensure our partnerships are successful. This role will be a key part of our Corporate Development Team, who is responsible for bringing in around 20% of Hospice UK’s income.

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong new business experience and an appetite to shape and drive a new business strategy.

There is a lot of potential with our new business stream that we have not yet unlocked, we have been very close to winning some other large, very well-known partnerships, and have some exciting new Hospice UK projects that we can use to proactively engage new companies.

We are looking for someone who can identify target sectors and proactively engage with sponsorship, cause-related marketing and strategic partnerships.

We work to ensure everyone affected by death, dying and bereavement gets the care and support they need, when they need it. Each year our hospice members collectively support 225,000 adults and children with a terminal or life-shortening condition, and provide 72,000 families and carers with bereavement support.
