Resilience-Based Clinical Supervision support

Resilience Based Clinical Supervision (RBCS) is a model of supervision for anyone whose role is influenced by the emotional consequences of demands at work or in their personal life.
Find out how we can support Hospice UK member organisations to deliver the RBCS model.
What is RBCS?
This video, produced by the Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS), the University of Nottingham and the Burdett Trust for Nursing, gives a short summary of what RBCS is and how it can benefit your workforce.
RBCS training
The Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS), offers training programmes in RBCS which focus on the emotional wellbeing of all staff and creating a sustainable, compassionate service for patients and families.
Visit the FoNS website to for more information and to book your place on a training course.
Once initial facilitators have been trained in RBCS, they can cascade the model within your organisation. This enables and empowers teams to offer peer-led sessions that complement any existing wellbeing strategies at your hospice.
Funding support
Members of Hospice UK may be eligible for a professional development grant from the Masonic Foundation to support them to undertake this course.
When making an application for this funding, it is important to be specific in your free text answers. Mention how the model would work in your hospice and the benefit to staff and patients.
Please visit our Grants page to find out more and apply.
RBCS Facilitators Community of Practice
All trained RBCS facilitators are invited to join our RBCS Community of Practice for ongoing peer support.
Group sessions take place every 4-6 weeks, and provide opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and reflective discussion.
To join, please complete the form online.
Resource library
Slides, recordings and resources from previous community of practice meetings are shared in the RBCS online resource library.
To access the resource library you will need to log in to the Hospice UK website or create an online account. If you have any problems accessing the resource library, please contact us.
