Job description
At Hospice in the Weald we're dedicated to giving our Registered Staff the time they need to deliver exceptional care, whilst also making work rewarding for those who are passionate about care but don’t seem to be given the time.
We are looking for Registered Nurses and Paramedics to join 4 of our services across the Hospice!
Our Children and Young People Service are looking for Staff Nurses, whilst our Pembury In-Patient Ward, Hospice Outreach Team, and our Cottage Hospice in Mayfield are all looking for Registered Nurses or Paramedics.
All services are different, however hold at the core our mission to provide care, advice, and support for everyone in our community living with terminal or life limiting illness, together with their loved ones.
We are looking for full time, part time and bank staff across the 4 services.
The Hospice Outreach Team are the initial point of contact for all new community referrals and all telephone calls coming into the service. It acts as a front line to support patients, staff and families in their own homes, this includes care homes and nursing homes.
The In-Patient Ward boasts 15 individual rooms, allowing staff to give personalised care to suit each patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as caring for and supporting those important to the patient.
Cottage Hospice is a beautiful, purpose built 10 bed, nurse-led ward. Often described as either a hotel or home from home, we aim to make stays as comfortable as possible for our patients, and their loved ones.
Our Children and Young People's Service believes that every child deserves to be just that - a child, not just a patient. Caring for children aged 0-18 with life-limiting conditions, including a variety of complex health needs, offering sessions of respite care both in the home and eventually in our new Children’s Centre at Five Ashes.
Some of the reasons why you should join our team:
-
Your work will be incredibly rewarding, where no two days are the same
-
Spend time with patients and those important to them at a time that matters. If you need to spend an extra 5 minutes or 50 minutes, time is there
-
A real commitment from us to offer development opportunities with career progression and professional development
-
A great work-life balance including part time and flexible working
-
Competitive salary and generous enhancements, reflecting how we value our staff
-
You can transfer your NHS pension and continue to receive employer contributions
-
Free parking, removing the stress and hassle of parking fees
