Family Support Team - Counsellor

A new role at the Ruth Strauss Foundation as a Counsellor with the Family Support Team!

Due to sustained increase in referrals to the service, we are delighted to bring forward our 2026 recruitment plan to add another member to our small and passionate team.

We are looking for a counsellor to join us on a part-time basis (14 hours per week), predominantly working from home with some travel into London required on a quarterly basis.

This role will be part of a high-quality service where you will provide guidance, information, and emotional support to parents and those with significant caring responsibilities to prepare their child(ren) when a parent has an incurable cancer diagnosis.

You will support parents and caregivers via booked online or telephone appointments and will also include co-delivering online support groups. Your support will enable parents to feel supported, guided, and confident in preparing their child and the whole family for parental death.
