Job description

As Associate Director of IT at Hospice in the Weald, you will shape and deliver the strategic direction of our technology landscape ensuring that our systems, services, and infrastructure are robust, forward-looking, and aligned with our mission. This is an exciting new opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and GDPR, while driving forward digital transformation in support of the hospice’s work in providing end of life and palliative care both within the hospice and in the communities we serve.

The Associate Director of IT is responsible for the secure, efficient, and compliant use of technology to support our healthcare delivery, administrative functions, and retail/fundraising operations. The role encompasses strategic planning, project delivery, cybersecurity, risk management and stakeholder engagement and will oversee, manage and hold the MSP to account for service delivery, performance and alignment with our long term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities you will need to have to be successful in this role:

Solid experience of managing all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, applications, software development, and cyber security.
Skilled in creating and rolling out IT strategies that align with business needs.
Strong project management abilities, with a background in successfully delivering complex IT projects.
Experienced in leading teams, managing budgets, and working closely with suppliers to get results.
Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365 and Azure
Well-organised with clear communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
Strong focus on problem-solving and driving both technical and cultural improvements.
