2024 TCS London Marathon

We've now filled our charity places for the 2024 London Marathon, but we will be opening applications for the 2025 event in April. If you would like to be added to our reserve list, or enquire about 2025, please email londonmarathon@hospiceuk.org to find out more. 

If your application is successful for 2024, we will then ask you to pay a non-refundable £75 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of £2,000 (excluding Gift Aid.) These amounts are subject to change for 2025. 

Tips for Applying

To ensure your application is as strong as possible, please include as much information as you can about why you would like to join #TeamHospiceUK and your plans for both training and fundraising before race day. 

If you are one of lucky ones to secure your own place through the official London Marathon Ballot, or if you have a Good For Age place, we would love for you to join our team as an own place runner and raise money for hospice care.



Simply complete our online application form, making sure to select the ‘own place’ option. You'll receive all the same support as a charity place runner, however you will have no minimum fundraising target. We just ask you to raise what you can. 

• Free sports massage, massive support from cheer points, and much more VIP treatment on the day - including pre-marathon breakfast and escort to the starting area, and hot meal at the Hospice UK post-race celebration.
• Support from registration to race day - regular team e-newsletters, a fundraising pack full of ideas, fundraising materials to help with your activities and ongoing support from our Hospice UK Events Team. 
• Discounts from top sports brands and everything you need to get race ready - including an online community with your 150+ teammates, competition in our Strava Club, and a personalised Hospice UK running vest.

You can be part of the world's most famous marathon and raise money to help us ensure everyone affected by death, dying and grief gets the care and support they need, when they need it.
