Hospice UK’s annual Christmas carol service brought festive cheer to Knightsbridge on 4 December, all in aid of raising vital funds for hospice care.

Text

Over 370 guests came to St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, for an evening of much-loved carols, music and readings, followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Guests were treated to renditions of once in Royal David’s City, Joy to the World, and Silent Night plus readings by Natasha McElhone, Dame Eleanor Laing MP, and Toby Stephens.

Organised with the support of our London Fundraising Committee, chaired by Merrill Powell, the Christmas carol service raised nearly £25,000 which will go towards Hospice UK’s national work supporting hospices across the country.

As the national charity for hospice and end of life care, Hospice UK champions the work of more than 200 hospices which support over 300,000 people in the UK every year, including people at the end of life, families, carers and bereaved relatives.

We were so pleased to host carollers at St Paul’s for an evening of festive fundraising and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and got into the Christmas spirit. Many hospices are feeling the very real impact of the cost of living crisis and the money raised tonight will help us support them to deliver their outstanding care.
