Salary: £46,785 per annum

For this role, we expect someone to come into the office at least one or two days a week. One of those days would be a Tuesday when Income Generation & Grants staff come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time, but equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. You can discuss your preferences as they meet our business needs with your line manager at the start of your employment. You will also need to be available for some out of hours events in the evenings.  

Contractually this role is London-based.

You will be joining at an exciting time for Hospice UK in this brand-new role, which is an important part of our strategy to sustainably grow our high value fundraising income over the longer term.  

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and others in the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate, you will lead the work to develop a pipeline of donors and prospects, and be responsible for developing excellent stewardship programmes that nurture income-generating relationships. 

As a natural relationship builder you will have a proven track record of securing high value partnerships; personally securing 5 and 6-figure gifts. 

You will use your excellent communication skills to write compelling and tailored cases for support, as well as lead on the essential work of crunching the data and prospect research that underpins a successful major donor programme.  

As an experienced philanthropy fundraiser, you will be a confident ambassador for our brand, comfortable in engaging with donors and celebrities, and developing engagement events and other opportunities to introduce them to our cause.
