Job description

This is an exciting time for Beaumond House, as we are firmly fixed on ensuring we are fit for the future and have formalised our commitment to upgrading our bedded unit. We have an ambitious retail growth plan and we are just finalising our new 5yr strategy, so there is a lot for our new CEO to get their teeth into.

About Us

Beaumond House Hospice Care has been supporting people with life limiting and terminal conditions, and their carers and families, within Newark and Sherwood for over 35 years.

We provide care and support at our Hospice in Newark, through our Day Therapy/Wellbeing service, we also have 4 beds, to support people at the end of life, with symptom management or to support their carer through a difficult time. We also take Beaumond House to people through our Hospice at Home service, supporting people with a choice of where they wish to be cared for.

Working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Team you will lead the Hospice while building and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, representing and promoting Beaumond House in a professional and positive manner.

About You

You will be an outstanding people manager, who leads with passion, drive and will help us to really get things done. You might already be a CEO or you might be a Director or Head of Department ready to take the next step in your career, but you will have an appreciation of the challenges we face as a charity and an organisation with multiple departments. You will be resilient with strength of character, flexibility and the ability to prioritise complex situations.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience (E)

Knowledge and Experience

  • Successful track record of leadership at a senior level in a complex and diverse environment (E)
  • Experience of effectively managing resources including budgeting(E)
  • Experience of working in a hospice (D)
  • Understanding/appreciation of current issues in health and social care (E)
  • Understanding/appreciation of the hospice movement and charity sector (E)
  • Experience of establishing effective working relationships and influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders and partners (E)
  • Strong strategist, able to identify development and business opportunities (E)
  • Experience of having worked with a Board of Trustees (E)

Salary: Circa £60,000

For the right candidate we would be willing to support with relocation costs.
