Job description
About us
Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a charity providing care and support to people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting or terminal illness. Every year we support more than 1200 people through our in-patient unit and in their own homes, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. The services the hospice offers were deemed Outstanding at the last CQC inspection and this is reflected in the love and support we receive from our donors, supporters and volunteers. But our vital service only receives funding for one third of our operating costs, with the rest of the income having to be fundraised or generated through our shops. Gifts from individuals are a major source of income for the hospice and our work wouldn’t be possible without them.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced individual giving fundraiser to help us to develop our individual, regular and legacy giving programmes. The successful candidate will lead our individual giving function. They will be responsible for donor acquisition and stewardship, with a data-driven approach to fundraising. We want someone who can deliver an excellent supporter experience – ensuring those who choose to support the hospice can see how much they make a difference. We are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude who demonstrates the hospice values; Compassion, Accessibility, Respect, Excellence. If you feel you could help us to make a difference to the lives of people living in Wigan and Leigh, we want to hear from you.
