Full-Time, 37.5 hours

St Kentigern Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care for adults in central North Wales.  We are entering an exciting time in our hospice’s development with a new 5-year strategy and an ambition to become a centre of excellence for hospice provided specialist palliative care.  To help us realise this ambition, we wish to recruit a senior income generation leader with marketing and communications experience to join our hospice.

This is a new, full-time permanent post reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.  Key aspects of this role include:

  • Being responsible for all aspects of income generation, marketing and communications at our hospice.

  • Leading the development and implementation of our income generation and marketing and communications strategies and annual plans.

  • Leading and line managing our income generation manager and our marketing assistant.

  • Being a core member of our Executive Management Team, upholding our hospice values and contributing to the delivery of our new hospice strategy.

You will have a track record of delivery in leading income generation, marketing and communications, ideally in a charitable organisation, with previous fundraising/retail management experience.  You will have experience of developing and implementing successful strategic and operational income generation and marketing strategies and of leading high performing teams.  You will be a confident leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to engage and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In return, we offer the following staff benefits:

  • Company pension/existing NHS pension is transferable

  • Sickness absence pay

  • An induction programme

  • Support with ongoing training and development

  • Annual leave of 25 days a year, plus Bank Holidays

  • Free on-site parking

  • Subsidised staff meals

We hope this opportunity and the job description inspire you to join us on our journey as we take our hospice forward. We encourage you to make contact with our Chief Executive Officer, Ellen Greer, for a discussion about the role, to answer any questions you may have and/or arrange a visit to our hospice.  Please contact: e.greer@stkentigernhospice.org.uk or telephone 01745 585221.

We look forward to receiving your application. To apply, please submit a CV and an application form. A copy of our application form can be obtained from Joyce Bellingham: j.bellingham@stkentigernhospice.org.uk

Please send your CV and completed application to e.greer@stkentigernhospice.org.uk.  The closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Wednesday 18th October. We anticipate that the interview process will take place during the week beginning 30th October or week beginning 6th November.
