Hours: 30 Hours Per Week

Salary: £44,617 - £51,057 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Based at Watford but required to travel to St Albans

The role of Physio  is in place to develop the palliative rehabilitation services at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. You will work across sites between Watford and St Albans so a car and driving licence will be essential.

You will be responsible for a team of Allied Health professionals; physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, who cover our in-patient hospice, outpatient’s department and community.  You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:

  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Proactive approach to service development.
  • Excellent, patient first assessment skills.
  • Confident in building relationships with external partners and agencies.
  • Confident using a Quality Improvement (QI) approach to change.
  • Ability to undertake challenging conversations to reach constructive outcomes.
  • To oversee caseloads and assist with prioritisation within the Team.
  • Evidence of managing and supporting complex Palliative Care patients, and their loved ones.

At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, we’re all about making every moment matter for our patients and families, and you can play your part in that. We will support people of all ages who are affected by a progressive life- limiting illness and those who care for them, to live as well as possible by providing choice and ease access to a wide range of palliative care and bereavement services across West Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.  We provide care and support for adults and children diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness, and their families, visiting day and night. It’s important work and, to make it all happen, we need talented and passionate people.

If successful, you'll join on the first working Monday of the month so we can best support you with our structured induction programme.
