Our BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Hospice UK is honoured to feature on BBC Radio 4’s Appeal this August, a unique opportunity to share the vital importance of hospice care with listeners across the UK.
The appeal, presented by comedian Jo Brand, will be broadcast on :
• Sunday 3rd August at 7.54am and 9.25pm
• Thursday 7th August at 3.27pm
Jo Brand will be telling the powerful story of Sam, Rob, their five children, and the incredible support they received from their local hospice.

Sam and Rob's story
Sam, Rob and their five children were the vision of a happy, contented family life. But everything changed when Rob received a terminal diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, turning their world upside down.
Their local hospice became their lifeline, offering expert care and the space to create cherished memories. As Rob’s condition worsened, the hospice made sure he had dignity and comfort right until the end of his life.
