Working in Childhood Bereavement course

This Level 6 course is delivered by Candle Children and Young People’s Bereavement Service, St Christopher’s and St Christopher’s CARE and is accredited by Middlesex University.

Hospice UK and St Christopher’s Candle Child Bereavement Service have run this course for people working in childhood bereavement since 2004. 

Starting in 2026 this successful course will be supported by Professional Learning at St Christopher’s CARE.

This programme is open to people with:

• experience in working with bereaved children and their families, for example in education, health or social care
• ability and willingness to participate and learn in face to face and online groups
• ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing

Prospective students should have access to a personal computer and email to facilitate communication with course tutors, administrative staff and other students.
