About the conference
This one day conference will look at how we can maintain momentum amidst change while leading, learning and innovating.
The aims of the conference are to bring professionals from across the sector together to:
- Hear from experts
- Explore and discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead
- Create connections and share knowledge and innovation
- Provide practical tools and resources
- View the exhibition and talk to our exhibitors from the wider commercial industry
This conference was for Clinical and Workforce Leaders, those who work in practice development or HR and those with an interest in the hospice workforce and patient care.
Conference Programme
The programme sessions will explore staff wellbeing and resilience, innovation in the workforce and the future of hospice care. Sessions will look at topics including:
- Equity, diversity, inclusion and staff wellbeing
- The value of learning from mistakes
- Community health
- Learning from the competency framework for palliative and end of life care in Wales
- the impact of AI
These will be accompanied by sessions looking at the practical implementation of last year's Employment Rights Bill and the CQC framework.
In the afternoon, delegates can explore hospice good practice at our first conference world café. Visit our facilitated subject tables to find out more about:

How to get there
Conference Aston is just a ten minute walk from New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street train stations, with a number of routes to the majority of UK destinations. The stations are all within a 10-15 minute walk, or a five minute taxi ride. Taxi ranks are available outside each station.
