How Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank supports hospice care

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank have been supporting hospice care for an incredible ten years. A lot has changed in that time!

In 2008, Barack Obama was elected President of the United States and The Dark Knight was the top movie of the year. In the UK, Lewis Hamilton won his first F1 World Championship and in the banks there was no such thing as a polymer note!

From the first-ever team challenge in 2013, which saw 29 brave people cycle coast-to-coast from Workington to Whitby, to a tremendous 130 people taking on the Marathon Hike in the Tweed Valley in 2017, your continued support has helped hospices care for more people.

Treetops Hospice in Derbyshire has been able to double its staff and help more people to live well by opening a day care unit. Highland Hospice was able to launch a ‘Helping Hands’ service so that patients living in remote areas could be visited by volunteers in their homes.
