Professor Simon Noble

Professor Simon Noble holds a Marie Curie Chair in Supportive and Palliative Medicine at Cardiff University, Wales and is an honorary consultant in Palliative Medicine at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.

His research interests lie in the management of cancer associated thrombosis, particularly in advanced cancer. He is currently chief investigator in several international clinical studies including including research into quality of life, thromboprophylaxis in advanced cancer and clinical prediction biomarkers.

He is co-chair of the Scientific sub committee for cancer and thrombosis for the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers, 30 chapters and 6 books.

His hobbies include trekking, theatre and trying to train his cockerpoo puppy to be less naughty.
