Sharon Hudson

She has worked in palliative and hospice care for 22 years across education, management and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. In 2016, Sharon completed her Masters in Research which explored the barriers to palliative care for people living with COPD and stemmed from a fierce need to enable access to palliative care for anyone, whenever they needed it.

Sharon is a Director of BrumYODO CIC – a community organisation utilising arts to create spaces to think, talk and explore Death, Dying and Bereavement. They ran their 2nd Matter of Life and Death Festival in Birmingham during Dying Matters week.

Involvement in BrumYODO has fuelled a commitment to live and work alongside our communities supporting their own approaches to end of life care.
