Paula Scanlon | Corporate Development Manager, Commercial
Paula brings more than a decade of experience in the corporate sector, contributing a unique blend of strategic insight, and relationship-building expertise to our team. She leads on all aspects of commercial partnerships for Hospice UK including exhibition and sponsorship at our conferences, ensuring our exhibitor and sponsor partnerships are aligned with the values and goals of the organisation.
In addition to driving revenue through conference sales, Paula plays a pivotal role in identifying, securing, and managing relationships with our commercial partners. Her work helps to strengthen and expand the network of organisations that support hospice care across the UK, contributing directly to the sustainability and impact of our mission.
Hamda Ahmed | Corporate Development Executive, Commercial
Hamda joined Hospice UK’s Commercial team in 2025. She supports Paula in the delivery of commercial partnerships, contributing to the continued success of Hospice UK’s conferences.
Her expertise in fostering long-term relationships and communicating across cultures aligns closely with Hospice UK’s mission to broaden its reach and engage a wide range of commercial partners. With a background in stakeholder engagement and communications, Hamda is keen to apply her skills to support the hospice sector and help grow partnerships that make a lasting impact on end of life care.
Kathryn Brennan | Deputy Director of Income Generation
Kathryn has over 13 years of experience in the healthcare charity sector, including previous roles at Alzheimer’s Society, and joined Hospice UK in early 2020. She leads the Corporate Development team and supports the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate.
Kathryn oversees a broad portfolio spanning new business development, account management, commercial partnerships, and our Compassionate Employers programme. Under her leadership, the team is focused on building strong, purposeful relationships that deliver meaningful impact, whilst driving long-term value for both our partners and the hospice sector.
