Her current role is Associate Director of Quality and Safety at Marie Curie where she is responsible for working across Marie Curie services in the four UK nations. Examples of recent work include: the development of a quality visit programme; ‘freedom to speak up’ framework; a programme for the production, review and dissemination of essential clinical policies; a cross organisational clinical audit schedule; a process to support the management and learning from serious incidents and human factors; investigation training; and the implementation of the ‘just culture’ guide.

Jane retains a clinical component to her role and works independently in the day therapy unit in nurse led clinics. She has recently completed a Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholarship, which provided a bespoke learning opportunity and took her to diverse places including Westminster and RADA, where she learned to breathe properly!
