The Wolfson bursaries for Care Home staff aim to improve the quality of care given to patients, their carers and families. Please read through this page to find out what is and what is not eligible before you apply.
Individuals can apply for a maximum of 75% of course or module fees, up to £1,500 in any one year and a maximum of £3,000 in any three-year period – subject to funds being available. The amount awarded will be decreased proportionately for applicants working less than 18 hours a week.
Conferences will have an agreed level of funding available but, grants will only be open to those who have a poster or oral presentation accepted at the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) and Palliative Care Congress (PCC) only - subject to funds being available. Typical bursary to attend one of these conferences would be 50% of the conference fee or £75 per day, whichever is the lower.
Only nurses and healthcare assistants employed by care homes are eligible for funding under this programme.

Please note, applications must have confirmation of 25% funding from their employer towards the course fee. This confirmation must be sent by post or scanned in and sent by email to the Grants Team before an application can be considered.
